Does it cost to use the landfill?

There is no charge to City of Billings residents for household and yard waste at 0-1500 lbs. For residential household and yard waste over 1500 lb, and for all construction/demolition waste the rate is $19.85/ ton.  Special charges will apply for refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, tires and other unusual items for all landfill users.  All “Out of City” residents will be subject to a charge.
