  4. Alzheimer's Association Presentation: Effective Communication

    This program will help you learn how you can more effectively communicate with someone who has Alzheimer’s or Dementia. You will also learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia and you will be able to identify strategies that help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease. This program is presented by the Alzheimer’s Association. No registration is required.

    Missoula author Gwen Florio will be reading from DISGRACED, her third Lola Wicks mystery novel. In this book, Lola is visiting Wyoming when her vacation is sidetracked as she becomes immersed in reporting the developing and heartbreaking story of a group of small town friends shattered by their experiences in Afghanistan, which makes Lola's own time in that war zone resurface as well.   7. Creative Challenge for Teens: Create a Public Service Announcement

    June 28, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ TECH Lab

    The TECH Lab is partnering with First Interstate Bank and the Americorps program to host a summer challenge for any interested teens. The goal is to create a PSA about financial literacy, particularly about settingt financial goals. The PSA can take the form of a 30 second video/radio spot, or a flyer, and the TECH Lab has all the equipment to help teens create their PSA. Workshops will be in the TECH Lab Tuesday-Thursday from 3-4 pm, so teens can come in and get help if they need it. The first place winner will receive $100, while the 2nd and 3rd place winners will get $50 and $25, respectively. Swing by the TECH Lab for more information, or just come to one of the workshops!
