Join Ed Kemmick, the editor of Last Best News, as he and Craig Lancaster discuss the High Plains Book Award-winning author’s latest novel, THIS IS WHAT I WANT. The new novel, which will be released July 28, centers on the annual celebration of a small eastern Montana town that is trying to find its way amid the changes wrought by the Bakken oil play. “The more things change—you know how this one goes. But nothing’s staying the same in Grandview, the fictional eastern Montana town in Craig Lancaster’s bittersweet new novel. Lancaster writes with great affection for small towns, but never lets that affection cloud the hard fact that their homey façade often masks troubles rivaling anything bubbling up from the oil patch.”—Gwen Florio, author of MONTANA and DAKOTA. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served, and signed copies of the book will be available for sale.
