Downtown Signal Modifications

The City of Billings, in conjunction with the Downtown Billings Partnership, is upgrading the traffic signals and lighting systems to eight intersections in Downtown Billings. The reconstruction of the intersections' signals will bring all equipment and hardware within current industry standards. Construction started in March 2011 and will be completed this summer.

As part of the construction, the signals will temporarily be removed from operation. While the signals are taken offline, temporary stop signs will be in place to control traffic. Please be advised that the fluid nature of construction may cause variations in the functioning of the intersections' traffic control from day-to-day. Travel with care and attention through the construction zones.
